WoW Forever: many cooked dishes add 5% experience from kills
Beta players found a hidden food buff that raises experience from kills by 5%. It sits on many dishes, but Blizzard has not announced it.

Cooking could speed up levelling in WoW Forever. A report published on 3 November says that many dishes carry a second, hidden effect, Well Fed XP Boost, which raises experience gained from kills by 5%. This is one report so far, and Blizzard has not confirmed it.
According to the report, the bonus arrives together with the usual food buff, once you have eaten for long enough, and it lasts as long as that buff does. Players found it on many dishes during the beta, but not on all of them, so it is worth reading the tooltip before you cook a stack.
It is not only for high-level cooks. The list starts with Brilliant Smallfish, which needs no real Cooking skill, and goes on through everyday food such as Spiced Wolf Meat, Roasted Boar Meat and Westfall Stew. Each of these item pages links to the buff, and the spell itself is in the game data, but Blizzard has not said how far it will reach on the live realms.
Food is not the only reason to keep Cooking up while levelling: the Cooking Fire also starts the shared campsite, as our look at camp features explains.
