WoW Midnight: Season 2 gear chests for alts go on sale
With this week's reset, 2 vendors in Silvermoon sell warband chests with an item level 292 piece of Season 2 gear, one for Mythic+ and one for PvP.
Midway through Midnight Season 2, Blizzard has put catch-up gear chests on sale for alts and late starters. They arrived with this week's reset, the same one that lifted the caps on crests and Conquest, and both are sold in the new Silvermoon City.
Agmera sells the Amani Equipment Chest for 750 Voidlight Marl. It holds 1 piece of item level 292 gear (Champion 1/6) from the Season 2 Mythic+ dungeons, and there is no Mythic+ rating requirement.
The PvP version, the Venomous Equipment Chest, costs 375 Conquest from Irissa Bloodstar. It also gives 1 item level 292 piece (Champion 1/6), this time from the Season 2 Venomous Gladiator set, and buying it needs a rating of 1400 or more in any PvP mode.
Both chests are bound to your warband, so you can buy them on a main and mail them to a fresh character. There is no bad luck protection, though: opening several can hand you the same slot more than once. Fresh characters now start with 5 Catalyst charges, which makes the chests a quick way to fish for tier slots, finish a 4-piece set and unlock Midnight Season 2: Catalyst Unbound.
