Blizzard has set out what Echoes of the Worldcore, the next content update for Midnight, contains. Xal'atath has breached the Worldcore, and the story sends players back to Dornogal to find a way into the damaged Coreway and the Worldcore beyond it. The update is on the PTR now; Blizzard has not given a date for it to go live.

The campaign, The Return to Dornogal, has players helping Arator, Brinthe, Dagran and Brann. The update also brings Talebound, the new action RPG mode for solo players or groups: it pays out Bound Silver, a Warband-bound currency for cosmetic rewards from the Talebound store, along with Ducats for progression, and tales are completed by returning to Quillgrave.

Lorewalking adds 4 storylines, about Jaina, Thrall, the Titans and Tyr, started with Apprentice Lorewalker Li Li Stormstout in Stormwind, Orgrimmar or Silvermoon City. Any character from level 10 can take them, and they can be repeated.

Turbulent Timeways is an 8-week event. Each Timewalking dungeon gives a 5% stacking buff, and after 4 dungeons it becomes 30% more experience. Keeping that mastery for any 4 weeks earns the Master of the Turbulent Timeways VI achievement and with it the Markeet of the Infinite Skyriding mount, and Silvermoon Timewalking quests offer a Heroic-level Cache of Quel'Thalas Treasures for a limited time.

The Omnium Folio gets 2 more Motes of Omnial Inquiry and 2 new runes: Rune of Empowerment, which grants 20% more of your Critical Power, Burning Haste, Masterful Cunning or Versatile Warrior stat, and Rune of Critical Mass, which adds chance-based orb or fire blast effects tied to your Core Rune.
