WoW Forever: Blizzard asks players to check language settings
Blizzard suggests every WoW Forever player opens the language options and changes anything that did not default to their preferred language.

Blizzard has a small job for everyone who has just started WoW Forever: look at your language settings. In a forum post on 4 November, community manager Kaivax suggested players take a close look at them. If any are not set to your preferred language, change them, then log out and back in to improve your in-game experience.
The screenshot in the post shows where to go: Options, then System, then Languages and Social. The Languages block holds Text and Audio. The Social block holds Preferred Online Language and Preferred Account Location, each with its own Apply button.
Blizzard did not explain what each option changes or why some may have started on the wrong language. The advice may matter for more than menus, though Blizzard did not make this link itself: in its notes on layers it said the language you play in is taken into account when placing players.
The client language has already caused trouble in Europe once. During name reservation, players on the Russian client could not reach the European rulesets until they switched language.
