WoW Forever: hotfix lifts level 10 limit on Invite-A-Friend
Players who joined with an Invite-A-Friend code were stuck at level 10 and cut off from guilds, groups and trading. A live hotfix has fixed it.

A hotfix now live has solved a launch problem for players who joined WoW Forever with an Invite-A-Friend code. Blizzard confirmed the fix on its forums on 5 November, a few hours after the game opened.
Blizzard says these players were unexpectedly restricted in several ways. They could not level past 10, use certain chat channels, take part in guilds, form parties or trade items with other players, which left them shut out of most of what the friend who invited them was doing.
If you were affected, Blizzard suggests logging out and back into WoW Forever. The post lists no other steps.
As Blizzard set out in October, a code lets a friend play without a subscription during launch week, from 4 to 11 November, and it can be redeemed until 11 November. The hotfix post says nothing about extending that period for players who lost time to the problem.
