WoW Forever: Invite-A-Friend codes are now being emailed
Blizzard has started sending the launch-week codes that come with Forever upgrades, and its support page spells out who can use them and what they unlock.

Blizzard has started emailing Invite-A-Friend codes to players who bought a WoW Forever upgrade on the Battle.net Shop, with the first going out on 20 October. Each code arrives in its own email, so an owner of the Skyborne Epic Pack should expect 3 separate messages. Anyone who buys an upgrade from now on gets the codes shortly after purchase. If nothing has arrived, Blizzard suggests checking the junk folder and making sure the order shows as Complete in the Battle.net transaction history; failed orders and gift orders get no codes.
The Skyborne Heroic Pack comes with 1 code, while the Skyborne Epic Pack and the Warcraft Forever Collection come with 3. Upgrading from Heroic to Epic or to the Collection adds 2 more, for 3 in total, but moving from Epic to the Collection adds none. The boxed Collector's Edition from the Blizzard Gear Store carries 3 codes of its own, sent with its beta access code, so a player who owns both ends up with 6. Collector's Editions bought from local shops in Korea, Australia and New Zealand include no codes.
A friend who redeems a code can play WoW Forever without a subscription during launch week, from 4 to 11 November. The code does not unlock the Skyborne race or its starting zone quests, it is not game time, it opens no other version of WoW and it gives no beta access. It works on a single WoW account, and it cannot be redeemed on an account that has bought any WoW Forever upgrade.
Codes can be redeemed on Battle.net or in the Battle.net app until 11 November; after that they return an error, and the access they grant ends the same day. Customer support will not replace a lost code, a code already redeemed on another account or one claimed on the wrong account, and points out in each case that an active WoW subscription also gives access to WoW Forever. A code is switched off if the original order is refunded or charged back.
