WoW Forever: launch video may show night elf shaman, tauren mage
Players think Blizzard's launch overview shows a night elf shaman and a tauren mage, pairs the game does not allow. Blizzard has not commented.
Players watching Blizzard's launch overview video for WoW Forever think they have spotted 2 race and class pairs that do not exist in the game: a night elf shaman and a tauren mage. This rests on one report of what players noticed in the footage, and Blizzard has not confirmed it.
Neither pair is on the launch list, which adds Undead Paladin, Dwarf Shaman, Gnome Priest, Human Hunter, Orc Mage and Troll Warlock. The sighting drew attention because Blizzard's roadmap lists 2 new race and class combinations for spring 2027 without naming them, so the footage could be an early hint.
Not everyone is convinced. Some players point out that the elf could be a hunter in armour that looks like a shaman set, and that the tauren could simply be using the same frost attack as the other characters in the scene.
The same footage also appears to show updated totem models for dwarf shamans and Chaos Bolt for warlocks. Blizzard says the roadmap and its contents can still change. WoW Forever opens for Europe at midnight on 5 November in Central Europe.
