WoW Forever: Rotmender's Raiment set found in beta files

A new 5-piece item set called Rotmender's Raiment has been found in the game files of the latest WoW Forever beta build, according to a report published on 24 September. Blizzard has not announced the set: it was datamined, which means it was read out of the files players download, not shown in patch notes or an official post. The report warns that Forever handles datamining and encryption differently from other versions of WoW, that anything found this way may change by launch, and that parts of its own reading of the data are guesswork.

The set has 5 pieces: Rotmender's Robes, Sash, Leggings, Treads and Gloves, which require levels 17 to 19. Its bonuses grow with the number of pieces worn. 2 pieces give +10 Intellect. 3 pieces reduce all threat the wearer generates by 5%. With 4 pieces, when the wearer's mana falls below 15%, they restore 600 mana over 15 seconds, at most once every 5 minutes. With all 5 pieces, healing spells get a chance to apply Rotmending, which restores 40 health every 3 seconds for 15 seconds.

The report says 2 of the pieces are not new items but renamed ones: Rotmender's Leggings used to be called Wispcloth Leggings, and Rotmender's Treads used to be Frostbane Treads. Both were renamed to match the rest of the set. Because those 2 drop in dungeons, the report expects the other 3 pieces to come from dungeons too. That is a guess, though: the report does not say which dungeon or boss drops any of the pieces.

The report says Rotmender's Raiment looks like a levelling set, similar to Embrace of the Viper, the reworked Wailing Caverns set that testers found earlier on the beta. For now the new set is known only from this one report on the game files, and Blizzard has not confirmed it or said whether it will be in the launch version. The beta runs until 21 October, and WoW Forever launches at 23:00 UK time on 4 November, which is midnight on 5 November in Central Europe.
