WoW Forever: group of 5 hits world first level 60
5 players reached level 60 together just under 52 hours after launch, pulling huge packs of mobs and keeping their experience in step.

The first level 60 characters in WoW Forever arrived early on 7 November, just under 52 hours after launch. 5 players reached the cap together at around 04:09 Central European Time, so the world first belongs to the whole group rather than to one character.
The characters are Jokerd Prime, Burning Speed, Cloud Bells, Lmgd Mmr and Vitochie Gofast, played by well-known Classic speed levellers. The party was 3 mages, a shaman and a paladin. They did not level through quests and dungeons: the paladin pulled large packs of mobs and held their attention while the others burned them down with area spells such as Arcane Explosion. They also switched between layers so that the creatures they needed came back sooner.
The hardest part was staying together. Jokerd explained on stream that even 1 experience point could leave a player behind, and the last 4% of level 59 took careful maths over which mobs to kill and when.
Other teams and solo players were in the race too. Jokerd says a full breakdown of the preparation should follow on stream over the next day or so, once the group has rested.
