WoW Forever: short-notice maintenance on 7 November
Realms went down for about 1 hour early on 7 November with a 322 MB update. Notice came late, and the reason has not been given.

WoW Forever realms went offline for about 1 hour early on 7 November. The window ran from 05:00 to 06:00 Central European Time, which is 04:00 to 05:00 in the UK, and players were removed from the game when it began.
Notice seems to have come late. A warning appeared in game chat and a pop-up about planned maintenance showed up in the Battle.net app around 15 minutes before the start. A small update of about 322 MB came with it; if the download does not begin by itself, restarting the Battle.net app should bring it up.
So far this rests on one live report, and we have not found a Blizzard forum post about it, so what the update changes is not known. It came hours after a change to layers filled zones with copies of NPCs and mobs, but nothing links the two.
Logins were working again at around 05:44, a little ahead of schedule, and the maintenance was over by 06:00. A similar 1-hour window was announced for 6 November, so a short stop in the small hours is worth expecting in this first week.
