WoW Midnight: October Traveler's Log reward is Thornshadow set

Blizzard revealed the bonus reward for October's Trading Post in its WoW Weekly post on 25 September. Players who fill their Traveler's Log in October will get the Ensemble: Thornshadow Assassin's Attire, a transmog set that Blizzard presents with the line “For missions that don't officially exist.” Blizzard calls the theme of October's Trading Post Costumed Calamity. The reward comes straight from Blizzard, not from the game files, and the post does not say which other items the traders will sell in October.

The Traveler's Log is a monthly list of activities, found in the Adventure Guide (Shift-J) once a character has done the short introductory quest at the Trading Post. Blizzard says the list mixes everyday play, such as quests, battlegrounds, holiday events and Mythic+ dungeons, with activities made for that month, and that players do not have to finish every activity: the progress bar at the top of the screen fills after a set amount, and players choose which activities to do. Blizzard has not said how many activities October's log will need; the new list appears at the start of October. The Trading Post needs an active subscription or game time, and the Adventure Guide opens at level 10.

October's log has to be filled before the end of the month, and Blizzard does not give an exact closing time in these posts. In the last week of each month, Blizzard says some activities fill the bar faster, to help players finish before the month runs out. The log also pays Trader's Tender, the account-wide Trading Post currency: up to 500 a month from activities, on top of 500 that players collect each month from a chest at the Trading Post.

The Trading Post is run by Tawney and Wilder just outside the Mage District in Stormwind and by the Zen'shiri Trading Post next to Grommash Hold in Orgrimmar, and both have representatives in Dornogal on the Isle of Dorn and in Silvermoon City. Blizzard also says September's Trading Post offer closes soon, so anything players still want from it should be bought before the traders switch to their October stock.
