WoW Midnight: Ruby Life Pools gets softened in 12.1.5

Living Bomb becomes something a healer can dispel, and most of the trash hits for less. All of it is read from the test realm rather than announced.

Dungeon tuning for Mythic+ has turned up on the 12.1.5 test realm, and almost all of it lands on one dungeon. The change people will feel first is Living Bomb, the effect carried by Primalist Cinderweavers and Blazebound Destroyers: it becomes a magic effect, which means it can be dispelled. It hits hard and it has a habit of overlapping with everything else, so the pulls that include a Destroyer should stop killing people outright.

The rest is arithmetic. Earthbound's Imprint, from the Earthbound Guardian, loses 21.5% of its initial damage and 13.3% of its periodic damage. Inferno, from the Blazebound Firestorm, loses 18.2% and 14.3% the same way. Thunderous Stomp from the Storm Warrior comes down by 18.2%. The shield that High Channeler Ryvati puts up now absorbs 15% of maximum health instead of 20%. Cold Claws from the Infused Whelp gets a 5 second gap before it can apply again, which stops the stacks piling up at speed, and the Blazebound Firestorm and Defier Draghar both have less health.

Only one line falls outside that dungeon: Spark Step, the Static Anomaly's attack in the Temple of Sethraliss, does 25% less. When Blizzard announced 12.1.5 it said it would make targeted changes for difficulty outliers at the same time as the season's mid-point. This is a thin first instalment of that, and it touches a single dungeon, so there is room for more before the patch ships.

None of this has been announced. It is datamined from the test realm, which means Blizzard can change or drop any line of it without saying so. The patch goes live on 13 October in the Americas and on 14 October in Europe.
