WoW Midnight: try the Talebound demo free from 30 October
Blizzard opens a Talebound demo on the PTR from 30 October to 1 November, with 3 tales and 3 classes, and no subscription is needed.

Blizzard is inviting players to try Talebound, the action RPG mode coming to Midnight, in a demo on the PTR, its public test server. The demo runs from 30 October to 1 November, and Blizzard says no subscription is required to take part. Its announcement does not give start or end times.
The demo opens with an introduction, Red Hollow, followed by 3 tales: Darkhaven, Greenthistle Wood and Greywake's Expedition. Each tale can be played on Normal, Veteran or Heroic difficulty, alone or in a group. Grove of the Night Court, the 4th tale Blizzard named when it announced the mode, is not on the demo list.
All 3 Talebound classes are playable: Slayer, Inquisitor and Witch. Every class can double jump, dodge and guard. The Slayer fights with a sword and a gun, the Inquisitor with holy and fire attacks, and the Witch with spells such as lightning, poison and spiders.
Blizzard stresses that this is a test and that things may change; several Talebound talents are still in progress. It asks players to share feedback in a thread on its forums. The announcement mentions no rewards for taking part, and the mounts, pets and decor found in the PTR files are not part of it. Blizzard has not yet given a release date for the update that brings Talebound to the live game.
