WoW Midnight: a large round of nerfs for Ula'tek
Blizzard is cutting damage and health across the Venomous Abyss end boss on Heroic and Mythic, arriving with this week's maintenance.

Blizzard has published the Ula'tek adjustments that arrive with scheduled weekly maintenance, which falls on 6 October in the European region. The headline change applies to the whole fight: Spectral Coils damage comes down by 20% on Heroic and Mythic. The single largest cut is in the second stage, where Warden's Protection damage drops by 80%.
The rest of stage two is softened in smaller steps. Grasping Fangs does 30% less periodic damage on Heroic and Mythic, Blight Vein lasts 4 seconds there instead of 6, and Virulent Spit puts fewer targets on the ground.
Stage three takes the widest set of changes. The health of Blightscale Shrieker and Blightscale Clutch comes down by 20% on Heroic and Mythic, and Slithering Clutch by the same amount on Mythic. Circling Prey deals 30% less raid damage on Heroic and Mythic, Toxic Burn 30% less on Mythic, and the waves coming off a tail during Caustic Waves drop to 3 on Mythic, where there were 7. Serpent's Bite has had its drain rate adjusted so that no more than 3 players are needed to soak it, whatever the size of the raid.
This is the third pass over the same fight in under three weeks: Blizzard had already weakened the encounter in September and then stopped its heart from hitting players in melee at the start of October. The changes are announced rather than live, and they land with the regular maintenance, so European raiders will meet the new version on the first lockout after that.
