WoW Midnight: Winter Veil tree defence for neighbourhoods

Housing neighbourhoods look set to get their own Winter Veil content. Achievements added in the latest build of patch 12.1.7 on the PTR, Blizzard's public test server, describe a new tree defence activity that takes place around the neighbourhood tree. It follows the Hallow's End neighbourhood updates, which brought daily quests and 3 neighbourhood themes to the autumn festival.

Going by the achievement text, the activity is about protecting the tree. Sockin' Around the Winter Veil Tree asks you to punt 100 tree attackers, That's Not For You is about returning stolen festive presents to the tree, and Master of Merry Mayhem needs 3 uses of a power-up. Season's Beatings is earned by being pummelled 10 times by a Rotten Pummeler, and Tree-fense simply asks you to complete the activity.

2 more achievements hint at new daily quests. Bells Will Be Ringing has you join the neighbourhood carolers by ringing your bells, and Candy Cane Brigade asks for 12 Candy Cane gifts delivered within housing neighbourhoods.

This is a single report built on datamined PTR files, and Blizzard has not announced the activity. The achievement names are still placeholders, it is not yet known what the tree defence rewards, and any of it can change before the patch goes live. Blizzard has not given a release date for 12.1.7.
