WoW Forever: Cozy Sleeping Bag quest chain found on the beta

Players have found the quest chain for the Cozy Sleeping Bag on the WoW Forever beta. It first appeared in 2024 in Season of Discovery, a Classic season with its own new content. According to a report published on 22 September, a player from a community that hunts for hidden secrets in the game confirmed the find with screenshots. The report says any character of level 14 or above can complete the chain on the beta now.

The sleeping bag is an item with a 1-hour cooldown that a player can put down anywhere and lie in. According to the report, every minute of rest adds 1% to an experience buff, up to 3%. That is small on its own, but the report points out that it can be combined with other experience buffs, such as the 5% buff from cooking. The chain also rewards 5 Student Fodder and a 12-slot bag from a quest called Stepping Stones. In Season of Discovery, each Student Fodder gave rested experience, extra experience from killing monsters, worth 20% of a level. A step-by-step guide by the same author says that in Forever it restores health, and mentions no experience bonus.

The chain starts not with a quest giver but with an object called Burned-Out Remains, found in 2 places: each faction starts at one and then visits the other. Alliance characters begin in Westfall, at the Alexston Farmstead, in the rubble of a wrecked cart; Horde characters begin in the Barrens, south of Camp Taurajo, in the rubble of a burnt tower. According to the guide, the chain then leads to the Stonetalon Mountains, Loch Modan and Thoradin's Wall, on the border between the Arathi Highlands and Hillsbrad Foothills, where the sleeping bag is the final reward.

The report adds that the quests are reportedly marked in the game at the moment, and that it is not clear whether this is intended; it suggests that players who would rather find the steps on their own wait for launch. The details come from this one report, based on a player's screenshots, though several players on the official forums have written since 20 September that they found the sleeping bag on the beta. As of 24 September we found nothing from Blizzard about the chain, and Blizzard has not said whether it will be part of the launch version. The beta runs until 21 October, and WoW Forever launches at 23:00 UK time on 4 November, which is midnight on 5 November in Central Europe.
