WoW Forever: Shanghai builds Dalaran at full scale for fans
A 2-day WoW Forever party in Shanghai recreated Dalaran at 1:1 scale, and visitors could play the beta down in the city's sewers.

Players in China got to walk through Dalaran in real life. A WoW Forever celebration in Shanghai, which opened on 16 October and ran for 2 days, recreated the city of mages at 1:1 scale, with room for players to meet, take photos, do quests and win prizes.
The rebuilt landmarks included the Silver Enclave and Sunreaver's Sanctuary, the Antonidas Memorial in Runeweaver Square and the shop of Mei Francis with mounts on display. The Dalaran Sewers became the corner where visitors could play the WoW Forever beta.
Each visitor got a wristband for checkpoints around the venue. Quests at those checkpoints paid out Dalaran Gold Coins, which bought draws from prize chests holding murloc-themed hats and toys, wax seal stamp sets, stickers and deluxe collectible sculptures. More merchandise was on sale on top of that.
This account rests on a single report with photos from the venue; Blizzard has not published its own write-up in English. For players in Europe the next date is closer to home: name reservation opens on 27 October, and the game launches at 23:00 UK time on 4 November, which is midnight on 5 November in Central Europe.
