WoW Forever: all of Azeroth at level 30, 438 deaths
A Skyborne druid went after the Explorer achievement on the beta and found Grim Batol, the Eastern Plaguelands and Azshara waiting for him.

A beta player has gone after the Explorer achievement, which asks for every zone in Azeroth to be discovered, and done it on a level 30 druid. The bill came to 438 deaths.
The class helped where it could. Travel form moves faster than running, and the Skyborne glide covers ground that would otherwise be a long walk. Neither does much about a zone built for characters twice your level, and in several of them the run back to the corpse was a fair share of the trip.
Grim Batol was the worst of it. He spent more than two hours in there, because it was close to impossible to take a step without pulling something. The Eastern Plaguelands offered nowhere to stop and breathe. In Azshara it was the ground itself: you die, you come back from a graveyard down on the coast, you climb, you die somewhere else and start the climb again.
As for how long the whole thing takes, he has no clean figure to give. At level 30 his played time stands at 1 day, 9 hours and 31 minutes, and that includes talking, watching videos and running his guild. It is still the closest thing anyone has to a measure of what the achievement costs on a low-level character.
