WoW: 8 hours of downtime in Europe on 14 October
Midnight realms close at 03:00 CEST on Wednesday and are due back at 11:00 while the patch goes in. The Classic games lose an hour.

Blizzard has published the maintenance window for Europe, and it is a long one. On Wednesday 14 October the realms for modern World of Warcraft are unavailable from 03:00 to 11:00 CEST while the 12.1.5 content update is installed.
The Classic games get off lightly beside that. Mists of Pandaria Classic, The Burning Crusade Classic and WoW Classic are each down from 03:00 to 04:00 CEST the same morning, which is the ordinary weekly window and has nothing to do with the patch.
Windows this long often finish early, and Blizzard does not announce that in advance. The stated end is 11:00, and realms frequently come back before it. Patch day is also exactly when the opposite happens, so plan for the full window rather than the optimistic one.
The Americas are a day ahead of Europe here: their realms went down on 13 October from 07:00 to 15:00 Pacific. That same day brought the dungeon and raid tuning that reaches European realms with the patch.
