WoW Forever: Blizzard shares server numbers behind the launch
Launch capacity is reported at 3,924 virtual machines, 251,136 GB of memory and 70,480 CPU cores, figures Blizzard shared on X.

Blizzard has given a look at the hardware behind the launch of WoW Forever. According to a report on a post it made on X, it set aside 3,924 virtual machines, 251,136 GB of memory and 70,480 CPU cores to handle the expected rush.
That works out at an average of 64 GB of memory and just under 18 CPU cores per virtual machine. How Blizzard actually shared out those resources is not known.
Launch itself went fairly well. There were some queues, connection problems and smaller faults, but no large server failure, and Blizzard's own verdict on the first night was "so far so goodish".
This comes from one report so far. We have not seen the original post, and the figures have not appeared in any Blizzard news article.
