WoW Forever: shaman talent rework not before early next year
Kris Zierhut says Blizzard may revisit shaman talents in a patch early next year, with some tuning once raid data arrives.

Principal game designer Kris Zierhut has answered the protest from shaman players, and says the class could get a second look at its talents in a patch early next year. In a new interview he said he would not be surprised to see that happen, and that it will not come any sooner.
The comments follow the Shaman Classic Discord, which locked its whole server in protest just before launch over how the developers are handling every shaman spec. Zierhut called some of the complaints legitimate, and said others come from players who are unhappy that they cannot have improved Ghost Wolf.
Enhancement is getting the closest look, because the spec is being pushed towards too much spell power gear. The aim is for it to want Strength, Intellect and spell power, much like Retribution paladins, and Blizzard does not want Enhancement shamans running around in cloth robes.
Elemental is being watched closely as well. Zierhut made a late call after hearing that players did not like Lava Burst and wanted a stronger Chain Lightning, and he admits the result could have used more time. Some tuning is still possible once raid data comes in, and druid talents are also on the list for early next year.
