WoW Forever: portals stand in for lost boats and zeppelins
Boats and zeppelins have been going missing for long stretches, so Blizzard has placed temporary portals by the docks and in the zeppelin towers.
Blizzard has added temporary portals to WoW Forever after boats and zeppelins started to vanish from their routes in the first hours after launch. The problem was confirmed on the forums on 5 November.
Blizzard describes the transports as "becoming lost in the maelstrom for extended periods of time". For players, that means standing on a dock or a tower platform with no ship or airship arriving.
As a stopgap, portals now stand near most transport docks and inside the zeppelin towers, so you can still move between continents if your boat gets lost. Blizzard says "most" docks, so a few stops may not have one.
A proper fix was promised for "the morning", in a post written late on 4 November US Pacific time. Once Blizzard has confirmed that the fix works, the portals will be removed, so treat them as a short-term route and not a permanent shortcut.
