WoW Midnight: Talebound caches drop the raid for Atal'Utek loot
On the 12.1.7 PTR, 3 Talebound treasure caches no longer promise Venomous Abyss loot. Their tooltips now name the Vaults of Atal'Utek instead.

The gear caches in Talebound, the roguelite mode coming in patch 12.1.7, have changed on the PTR. Their updated tooltips say the loot now comes from the Vaults of Atal'Utek rather than the Venomous Abyss raid, which swaps raid gear for open-world gear.
Cache of Champion Treasures now gives Normal loot from the Vaults of Atal'Utek, Cache of Heroic Treasures gives Heroic loot and Cache of Mythic Treasures gives Mythic loot. All 3 used to point at the Venomous Abyss.
The Mythic cache was the most disputed reward when it surfaced in the files. Some players objected to Mythic raid loot without the Mythic raid, and others worried that a lucky few would get the best items from the last 2 bosses. Others had no problem with it, as this is the final patch of the season.
The change takes many of the best end-game items out of the reward pool. It could also leave less reason to chase the caches, as Myth gear is plentiful this season. This rests on one report of the new tooltips: Blizzard has not announced the change, any link to player feedback is a guess, and PTR rewards can still change.
