Blizzard has announced a wide tuning pass for The Venomous Abyss, with changes to 5 encounters arriving over the next few days. The hotfix list dated 5 November already covers the Entombed Sentinels, Twin Fangs and The Coiled Altar. Vashnik and Ula'tek are not on it yet, and Blizzard says it will update the list when those changes go live.

Ula'tek sees the largest cuts. The boss loses 15% of its health on Heroic, and on Raid Finder, Normal and Heroic Blizzard is lowering base health and adjusting health scaling for the boss and its adds to suit smaller raids. Unchecked Rage deals 61% less damage on all difficulties, and the damage over time from Caustic Waves falls by 75% on Normal, 61% on Heroic and 89% on Mythic. Malice drops by 63% on Normal and Heroic and by 45% on Mythic.

The fight also gets simpler. Heroic loses 2 eggs from each side in Phase 2, leaving 8 per side, and Ula'tek no longer creates extra Caustic Waves from Spectral Tails in Phase 3. On Mythic, Noxious Splash deals 33% less initial damage and 84% less damage over time, and Putrid Membrane lasts 20 seconds instead of 30.

The earlier bosses mostly change on Mythic. Blood Venom pools from the Entombed Sentinels last 2 minutes instead of 5, Malignance on Vashnik deals 37% less damage, and Spiritcackle at The Coiled Altar spawns 1 Spiteful Soulcoiler instead of 2, in line with Heroic. Axegrinder there moves 20% slower on all difficulties. The 40% cut to Visceral Burst on Twin Fangs belongs to the same pass.
