WoW Midnight: Talebound to pay Venomstones, crests and raid loot

The latest patch 12.1.7 build on the PTR, Blizzard's public test server, adds a long list of Talebound achievements whose rewards are meant for the main game rather than the mode itself. Many of them appear to be bought from a Travelling Raven in Silvermoon City, and simply talking to the bird grants Tapping at the Trader's Door.

The gearing rewards are the biggest part. 4 achievements, 1 for each difficulty of the final confrontation, give a Venomstone Cache worth 10 Venomstones each. 3 achievements, 1 for each class's story with the Scribe, give a Nebulous Voidcache, listed under bonus rolls. 8 achievements give caches of Venomous Abyss gear, 1 Normal, 5 Heroic and 2 Mythic, and Talebound can also pay out 20 Champion, 40 Hero and 40 Myth crests through pouches such as the Myth Mistcrest Pouch.

The 2 Mythic caches are the ones found in the files earlier this week. There are also 2 crates of profession materials, Voidlight Marl Prisms worth 7,500 Voidlight Marl in total from 3 achievements, and 4 experience potions, 1 for solving all the puzzles in each story. These are now listed at 10% extra experience for 2 hours, lower than the 30% shown when the potions first turned up.

For collectors there are 3 new items: the Wood-Cursed Hearthstone for The Tale Complete, a pet toy called Hexed Tiny Tome for Stories Shared, and a new campsite, The Fate of Quillgrave, for The Final Confrontation.

All of this comes from a single datamining report of PTR files, and Blizzard has not announced the rewards or the vendor. Amounts, sources and the rewards themselves can still change before the patch goes live. Anyone who wants to see the mode first can try the Talebound demo on the PTR until 2 November.
