WoW Forever: quests pay no bonus gold at level 60
Quests at level 60 no longer turn their experience into extra gold, and the first player at the cap says a developer called it intentional.

In Classic Era, quests completed at the level cap pay extra gold in place of the experience you can no longer earn. In WoW Forever that conversion appears to be gone: a quest finished at level 60 gives no bonus gold at all. Ordinary gold rewards that a quest already pays are still in place.
The change was spotted by Jokerd, who reached level 60 as part of the first group to hit the cap. On his stream he said he had contacted a WoW developer, who replied that the change is intentional, and that a weekly quest paying out a random amount of gold might come instead.
This is one report resting on a single player's account of a private message, and Blizzard has not commented publicly on quest rewards at level 60 or on any weekly quest. Very few players are at the cap yet, so it will be some time before others can check it for themselves.
If it holds, one of the steadiest ways to earn gold at 60 without professions or the Auction House goes away. It would sit alongside other recent moves to steady the economy, such as the Auction House deposit going back to 1 copper and vendors that cap the price of some rare reagents.
