WoW Midnight: a wide PvP pass lands with the 6 October hotfixes
Twelve classes get changes that apply in player-versus-player combat only, and every tank specialisation gets a longer, cheaper, longer-ranged Focused Assault.

Blizzard's hotfix list dated 6 October carries the usual class and raid work, and then a player-versus-player section longer than the rest of the list put together. The one change that touches every tank specialisation is Focused Assault: it now stacks to 6 times instead of 5, lasts 10 seconds instead of 6, comes off cooldown in 15 seconds instead of 20, and reaches 15 yards instead of 10.
The largest single numbers go to abilities that were barely worth a button. For warriors, Dragon Charge does 300% more damage. For blood death knights, Death Chain hits 4 targets instead of 3 and its initial damage goes up by 500%. Beast mastery hunters get the same 500% on Dire Beast: Hawk, which now deals nature damage rather than physical. Frost mages get 150% more on Frost Bomb, warlocks 100% more on Bonds of Fel and 150% more on the Fel Lord's Fel Cleave, shamans 100% more on Electrocute, and both demon hunter specialisations 50% more on Illidan's Grasp.
Healers and defensive tools get the other half of the pass. Mistweaver monks may now keep 5 Healing Spheres up at once instead of 3, and each one heals for twice as much. For restoration shamans, Earth Shield heals 15% more in player-versus-player combat, Earthen Harmony takes 8% off damage instead of 5% and raises the healing its target receives by 200% rather than 150%. Priests get 113% more absorption from Absolute Faith, and Improved Mass Dispel now takes 75 seconds off the Mass Dispel cooldown instead of 60.
A few changes are about visibility rather than numbers. Balance druids see Moon and Stars grow by 60% in radius and show up as important on enemy nameplates, and Tireless Pursuit lasts 6 seconds instead of 3. Windwalker monks have Perpetual Paralysis spreading to 3 targets instead of 2, at 15 yards instead of 10, and now preferring players over pets and summons.
This is a separate list from the class tuning Blizzard had already announced for the same day, where the only cut was for unholy death knights. Hotfixes need no client patch and no downtime, so everything here is already in the game.
