WoW Midnight: 12.1.5 test realm gets class changes and fixes
Blizzard's new test notes for patch 12.1.5 buff Melt Armor by 100%, make Execute and Revenge cheaper for Protection warriors and fix Frost mage bugs.

On 29 September Blizzard community manager Linxy posted this week's additions to the development notes for the 12.1.5 public test realm (PTR), the server where players can try a patch before it goes live. Almost all of it is class work: changes and fixes for evokers, hunters, mages, monks, rogues, shamans and warriors, plus 1 change for PvP and 1 for the interface. The patch goes live on 14 October, so none of this is in the game yet, and Blizzard can still change or drop any of it before then.
Warriors have the only change with a note from the developers attached. For Protection, the Colossus talent Practiced Strikes now has an extra effect: it reduces the rage cost of Execute and Revenge by 10. The developers write that Colossus is meant to show a warrior's own skill, which for Protection means being more efficient with rage, and that cheaper access to Revenge and Execute should give the specialisation a more distinctive rotation and better tools for holding threat. Blizzard adds that these changes were already in last week's test build.
The largest numbers go to evokers. For Augmentation, Melt Armor from the Scalecommander tree now does 100% more damage. Also for Augmentation, the Chronowarden abilities Temporality and Temporal Burst now last longer the more Mastery: Timewalker the evoker has. For Preservation, Consume Flame no longer counts healing increases on the target twice, and in PvP Merithra's Blessing now counts as an Arcane spell, so it can be cast even when the evoker has been locked out of Nature spells.
The rest is mostly bug fixes. For Frost mages, when 2 Ice Lances were in the air at once and only the first one had Fingers of Frost, neither of them got the bonus; that is fixed. Explosive Shot for Marksmanship hunters no longer picks a nearby target by itself when it is pressed with nothing selected. For Restoration shamans, Riptide extended through Swelling Tides now has its timer extended rather than restarted. Assassination and Subtlety rogues get new weapon trails and spell visuals, and preview settings in the Trading Post window, such as Combat Animation, now keep the player's choice when swapping between items. The full list is in Blizzard's post. All of it is still on the test realm, unlike the tuning already live on EU realms, and it can change before the patch arrives.
